When an old toy truck calls me from across a crowded room, I answer. 9 times out of 10, the truck turns out to be a Wyandotte. I gravitate toward them. Or they gravitate toward me. The All Metal Products Co. in Wyandotte, Michigan (better known as the Wyandotte Toy Company) was in business from 1920 through 1956. They manufactured distinctive looking, top quality metal toys that were sold worldwide. Our vintage side-dump truck dates to c1940s. Known as the Pickway Projects Metal Side Dump Truck, it is all original including the tires. In good working condition, with the wheels rolling smoothly and the box going up and down as it should. The truck shows signs of normal use, love and many playtimes, just as it should have been. The colors on the tin are strong and true. Shallow scratches and scuffs to the paint. The lithography on one side of the box or body is mostly gone, while the other side shows partial litho. The truck front lithography is in better condition, with the name WYANDOTTE easy to read. The lever to work the side dump process works fine and the body goes up and down as it should. What we especially love about this toy truck are the memories of long-ago Christmas mornings it brings, under the glittering tree, opening a box and finding a shiny, new Wyandotte truck within. 17"L X 5"W X 5"T.
