From a turn-of-the-last-century dry goods store or emporium, one of our favorite advertising devices. It looks like it was made to fit atop an old-time cash register. Made or custom ordered by the company that manufactured ornamental curtain fixtures, James H. Boye Manufacturing Co., 4117 N. Kilpatrick Ave., Chicago, Ill.
The display dates to c1900 or so. It is made of a wood slat back with metal side brackets. All pieces have their original painted and stenciled color and it is all in super condition with great, colorful graphics and late Victorian design. The paint on the back is slightly disturbed, as you can see in our photo. 15 5/8" X 2 1/2" X 3 5/8"
