One fantastic find! These shoes were made for a baby c1830-50. They are leather and cotton. The vamp, heels and soles are leather. The uppers are a terrific cotton print. I found the same print but with a muted green background in the pre-1830 division of my favorite fabric reference guide, "Dating Fabrics A color Guide 1800-1960", by Eileen Jahnke Trestain, American Quilters Society1998. The piece de resistance of these shoes is the handwritten note that came with them:

"baby's shoes

made by Cyrus Lord - prob. for

his dau. Maria Louise Lord (Mom's

grandmother)

The shoes have straight leather soles, piped edges, heel guards of leather and hand stitched button holes for the laces. They are in beautiful condition wtih only a few thin or worn areas to the cotton, specifically on the right shoe, mid-side on the inside, near to where the fabric is sewn to the leather sole. A mere 4 1/2" toe to heel and 1 1/2" across the sole at the ball of the foot.  These are the sweetest, most appealing antique shoe for an early to mid-19th century baby that I have ever seen.
