An antique sterling silver, four-strand Albertina watch chain with a dog clip fastener. There are finely engraved connector panels or slides, two with floral decoration in vitreous enamel on the other side. This Albertina is top-drawer quality, highly collectable and perfect for wear as a distinctive bracelet. The bracelet or Albertina itself dates to c1880-90. The dog clip, an early replacement, is marked for Birmingham, 1919. The maker's mark is HA&S.
The condition is all original and very good. There are slight signs of enamel wear and some minimal shallow denting, in keeping with the piece's considerable age and with normal use. We will send the Albertina / bracelet to you in a nice, new box. The silver shows a bit of tarnish; if you prefer silver with a shiny surface, this piece will polish up well. The bracelet is 8 3/4 inch long and weighs just over 21 grams. A lovely gift for a loved one and also for yourself! Free USA Shipping, Handling, Insurance
