A vivacious example of good mid-19th century creamware. Made in the Staffordshire region of the UK and hand painted in rich, bright enamels and perfect glaze, this shoe form ink well is in excellent condition. What we love about it is the fact that there are two ink pots within the single shoe. A rare feature that makes it highly desirable. The colors are exuberant and the detail is fine. 5 3/4" toe to heel; I 1/2" across ball of foot; 1 5/8" high at heel. Too small for your foot, but just right for your desk.
