An exciting piece of sailor-made folk art, this is the carved bowl from an early clay pipe. It dates to the 19th century and is the figure of a sailor boy. There is the correct pattern of surface wear for the age & use. The front of the sailor boy's hat has a small chip. This little fellow stands on his own and he packs quite a punch for his size. Ex-Collection; approximately 1 1/2" x 1/2" x 1 1/4.25"
