This early penwipe is charming.  Formed like a gauntlet glove, it is made of velvet with floss and ribbon accents.  The cuff flips up, revealing several layers of felt with which to wipe the nib of your dipping pen.  The unusual colors used are so appealing, cranberry velvet complimented by turquoise ribbon and lime floss.  We love how the edging of the tiny fingers right down to the gauntlet cuff is all in a tiny blanket stitch. The lime color of the stitching is in its original bright hue on the bottom of the penwipe, where it was not exposed to light.  This penwipe is in good, sound condition with evidence of use and wear to the back.  5 1/4"L X 3" at widest point.
