A worthy advancement in the process of powdering your wig.  The wig bellows.  It was exciting to find one and to find it in such good condition.  This is a still-working bellows (though, due to its advanced age, if you're going to use it, please do so tenderly.)  The wood is a handsome bird's eye maple, more figured on the front than on the back. The leather of the body is in very fine shape, still supple and soft.  Leather strips are nailed on with round hand-cut nails and the nozzle has a larger round hand-cut to hold it in place.  The wooden plug that stops the hole through which you pour your powder shows the same aging tones as the rest of the wood.  There are anticipated patterns from age and normal use throughout ~ nothing dire.  A wonderful old vanity tool.  I wonder if George Washington had one.  6 3/4"L X 2 1/8"W X 2 1/4"H
